Ukrainian communities are adapting to climate change: on 26 November Ecoclub, together with GIZ Ukraine, IKI Small Grants, Covenant of Mayors – East and Nadace Partnerství announced the results of the Adapterra UA 2025 competition.
We recognised the best adaptation solutions already implemented in communities!

Winner: the project «A Shared Home for People and Nature», implemented by the team of the Ecological Centre of the Palace of Children and Youth, Rivne.
The project transforms the park next to the institution into a nature-based space where children learn to interact with the city’s ecosystem — while at the same time making it more resilient to climate change and more comfortable for visitors.

Winner: «Green revolution on Studentska Square: how concrete turned into a living garden», implemented by the NGO «Eco Misto», Chernihiv.
The story of the transformation of an urban space in Chernihiv, where the community created an ecological oasis with its own hands. The space became a living example of how ecological thinking changes not only the landscape but the city itself.

This educational course teaches schoolchildren, in an accessible and practical way, to think ecologically, act consciously and pass this knowledge on to their families.
